Kitchen Maintenance

A preventative maintenance programme will ensure and maintain the correct and safe operation of all kitchen equipment. This will include the following

Dishwasher

Equipment calibration to ensure water level controls, temperature controls, and timer controls comply with required standards.

Cold storage

Refrigerators and freezers must be cleaned regularly, and temperature monitored to ensure food is stored correctly

Pantry

Shelving, ceiling and flooring must be checked for damage

Ovens and hobs

Maintain good cleanliness and check that ovens and hobs are operating in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications

Small appliances and tools

Must be used for the purpose they were designed for, cleaned effectively and stored safely when not in use

Vermin

Regular pest control inspections are to be undertaken to ensure that control strategies are effective

Reporting of issues

Report any problems immediately, e.g. temperature variations, damage to equipment or building, signs of vermin, etc., so that these issues can be rectified
